Julian Croxall
CEO of Cambridge CTO, Wingspar & Larchmont Watercraft
Julian Croxall is a technology specialist in banking and trading environments. At Cambridge CTO, Croxall plays a key role in the development of multi-billion dollar hedge funds. His industry knowledge and vast business experience provides strategic guidance to his client base. Prior to Cambridge CTO he directed technology at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse and Barclays.
More recently, Croxall has launched two new businesses. Wingspar.com, a reverse auction business catering to the movement of luxury personal assets and Larchmont Watercraft, builders of heirloom-quality wooden boats.
Croxall has been involved with Verdant Vigilante from the inception, advising on strategy and serving as VV’s technology officer.
Steve Burns
Executive Vice President of Global Programming for National Geographic Channel
Steve Burns is the Executive Vice President of Global Progrmminag for National Geographic Channel (NGC). Burns oversees all aspects of the network's programming strategy and content, including development, production, acquisitions and scheduling. His career spans more than 30 years in media, including senior executive positions at Discovery Communications and a decade with National Geographic Television, including three years as supervising producer for the highly rated, Emmy award-winning series Explorer.
Prior to joining NGC, Burns served as executive vice president and chief science editor at Discovery Networks, responsible for Discovery Channel Quest, a series of expedition specials. Immediately beforehand, as executive vice president, production, he was responsible for nearly 2,000 hours of programming per year across the 10 U.S. Discovery Networks, and had creative and editorial responsibility for long-running entertainment specials and series, animal programming and science productions. From 2003 to 2005, Burns was senior vice president and general manager of The Science Channel, with managerial oversight of all personnel, production, development and finance of the network.
Burns' career began in advertising in Tucson, Ariz., followed by work as a producer with ABC television affiliates in Tucson and Phoenix.
Greg O’Brien
Editor and president of Stony Brook Group
Stony Brook Group is a publishing and political/communications strategy company based in Brewster, MA., has more than 30 years of newspaper and magazine experience as a writer, editor, investigative reporter and publisher. Over the years, he has contributed, among other publications, to the Associated Press, UPI, USA Today, The Arizona Republic, Boston Herald American, Boston Metro, New York Metro, Philadelphia Metro, The Providence Journal, and Boston Magazine. He was a founding managing director of Community Newspaper Company in Boston, and is the editor/author of several books. In addition, he has published 15 books by other writers, has been a writer/producer of video documentaries, and has been a television scriptwriter.
O’Brien, though his company Stony Brook Group, runs political and corporate/commercial political and communication strategy campaigns for a variety of purposes—from development permitting to elections, from media consulting to community outreach and marketing. Clients include corporate entities, commercial developers, candidates, and institutional and community groups.
Richard Hofbauer
Director, International Investment Bank currently working on residential real estate projects in Latin American. Throughout his career Richard has held a number of senior operating roles including COO and CIO for both start-up and public companies. Additionally, Richard is a LEED AP. Richard's love of biking and the outdoors has driven him in recent years to become more active in his local community helping establish a Green Building Committee and Hoboken Sweet Streets, which is focused on
improving the pedestrian and cyclist experience. His interest in these quality of life issues is what has drawn him to this project.
